Account Executive

As an Account Executive at Octave-X, you will be the primary revenue driver for Certus, our compliance automation and attestation platform. You will own the complete enterprise sales cycle — from identifying and qualifying prospects, through discovery and technical demonstrations, to negotiation and close. This is a consultative, relationship-driven role: you will work directly with CISOs, heads of compliance, VP-level engineering leaders, and procurement teams at mid-market and enterprise organizations. You will develop deep product expertise in Certus and translate its technical value into clear business outcomes for customers navigating SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST compliance requirements. You will also serve as the voice of the customer internally, collaborating with product and engineering to shape the Certus roadmap based on real market feedback.

About The Role

What You Will Build

Drive enterprise adoption of Certus by managing strategic accounts, owning the full sales cycle, and building trusted relationships with security and compliance leaders.

  • Own and grow a portfolio of enterprise accounts for Certus, driving new business acquisition and expansion revenue.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from outbound prospecting and inbound qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with security, compliance, engineering, and executive stakeholders at target accounts.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and business cases tailored to each prospect’s compliance landscape and organizational needs.
  • Collaborate closely with product management and engineering to relay customer needs, competitive intelligence, and feature requests.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans with clear milestones, pipeline forecasts, and revenue targets on a quarterly and annual basis.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of enterprise sales, account management, or business development experience in B2B SaaS or technology.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota, with experience closing five- and six-figure annual contracts.
  • Strong working knowledge of compliance, security, or governance/risk/compliance (GRC) workflows and buyer personas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to C-suite and technical audiences alike.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical product capabilities into tangible business value and ROI narratives.
  • Self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills — you manage your pipeline, forecast accurately, and operate with minimal oversight.

Nice To Have

  • Direct experience selling into regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, government, or critical infrastructure.
  • Working familiarity with SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST 800-53, or FedRAMP compliance frameworks and audit processes.
  • Background at a high-growth B2B SaaS company with experience selling platform or infrastructure-level products.
  • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement platforms (Outreach, Apollo) in a structured sales process.
